The Mummy Returns is actually a quality film, but The Mummy one is surprisingly bad. My friend and I watched it and even nostalgia couldn't save it, it's actually so campy and doesn't really succeed at making it fun.

There's a scene where Anck' SuNamun flies towards the camera in her mummy garb and it looks like a direct to DVD horror movie
