I think record labels only now seem to understand that the charts evolve at a fast pace and that a lot of momentum (and potential sales) are lost in the usual 2 month gap between lead single release and album release: part of the reason why many a ''major'' pop album has failed to an extent in the digital age.
I think the single-album gap should be shortened to 2/3/4 weeks. Release single to iTunes/Spotify, release video after 1 week, then after a week or 2 start promotion for both single and album. Also is a nice way to prevent album sales from suffering 3extremely when the lead single tanks.
What I don't understand about Vegas is how it can be so hot and cold at the same time. I get the hot part -- it's the desert. But why does it literally freeze at night?
