She isn't performing it right. If she want us to feel it she can't perform it like she's singing Halo. The song isn't about the vocals or even her, it's about the feeling. She needs people on stage, being in love, bringing the song a live. She can't do it alone and needs to stop. It's turning out worse than Run the World for me, and even Run the World became a song that everyone respects and dances to in the club.

She didn't even have a theme for this performance. RTW had amazing performances that really brought the song to live. Honestly, it's probably because she didn't give a damn and I understand. I think her mind is on her tour. It starts tomorrow and there's a lot of pressure on her and her band of course.

This performance would have been 10x better if she was wearing jeans and could move around and had her band or dancers to interact with.

I think you guys are misinterpreting her intentions. I'm sure a lot of it has to do with the tour, but a huge reason this era's so special is because this is a new chapter for Beyonce' as a performer and artist.
1. She no longer has labels telling her what to do
2. She no longer has to promote her album in every way possible to reach platinum in the US
3. She no longer has to think of how to impress people with her performance

She's reached a stage in her life (as a performer) where a mic and lights is sufficient enough to put on a performance, everyone focuses on her voice instead of how crazy her hair flips were or how she could synchronize with 100 other back-up dancers.

She has hinted at it plenty of times and even said it on one of her backstage videos, not every performance is going to be just her standing and singing, but these performances were just a way to prove to the world, and more importantly herself, that she's capable of being the center of attention with just her voice.

She entertains Using her voice and little props and that's why she will always be respected as a performance. I think she is at that stage where she feels comfortable enough to just sing without their being any type of prop assisting her and she seems comfortable with that.

watching the performance again......

she struggles with suttleties, she has a big voice and it's hard for her to sing songs like this live, IN MY OPINION she sounded shaky and flat sorry, but probably because she wasn't singing in her full voice
also she needs to learn the XO part

"XO" has yet to really move me live, even in the tour performances. This is weird especially considering the fact that I usually love the live arrangements of her songs better. It was just...uneventful.

Anyways, she looked great and sounded great. Can't wait to see what she does with the rest of the songs on her tour.

No shade but for something that was supposed to be focusing solely on her voice many people, myself included if I'm going to be completely honest, were not impressed.

That's the thing with these past 2 performances she's doing minimal choreography than her previous show stoppers yet her vocals are not better. I'm fine with her doing a simple performance as long as she's really going to shine vocally. I understand though that she has to focus on the tour now so it's whatever

I think she was nervous performing XO, and the song is subtle and that's not her strength as a vocalist.

Not making excuses but I think it was an 8/10 performance she sounded just as the studio version for the most part, I also don't think XO fits her voice like most of the songs on Beyoncé do.

Some people are so ungrateful.. So if she's not doin full out choreo the performance is boring? Clearly, she was nervous you could hear it in her voice. With that being said she didn't sound bad. People complain that she's wasting opportunities when she does them she should do something better and people wander why she's so over the industry!

As long as she's perfect on tour I don't give a damn about televised live performance since the GP have proven time and time again that they prefer mediocre live per formance,I found it disheartening during the 4 era that Bey gave her best live performance but had little to show for it when compared to the other pop girls.Beyhive need to move with the times and just appreciate the fact that her worst performance is better than the best from most of the pop girl.As long as she slays on tour I'm ok.

Am I the only person that loved the nervous edge when she began? It's a shining example of how human she is. She still feels that rush of nervousness and excitement before a performance. She's afraid that people won't like what she does. But by the end she had everyone completely enraptured. It made it all the more moving. Those lyrics tonight felt so alive, because she was nervous, not unlike someone professing their love to someone...before the lights out
