LOOK AT THE THREAD YOU JUST CLOSED. The majority of members agree that transphobia is an issue and you CLOSED IT. People think it's an issue so why are you all not addressing it? Why can we not discuss it????

If you see transphobia then report it, it is not acceptable and has never been so. I'd be more than happy to warn any and all offensive content.

Yeah, it's hard to report threads being closed because the mods closing them are transphobic. It's hard to report ME getting warning points when I told someone making a transphobic comment to piss off and NOTHING HAPPENED TO THEM. I'm pretty sure I reported a thread of a transphobic prank video and I doubt anything happened. This is about more than just little instances of reporting, this is a major issue that me, along with many other members want addressed. There is no reason for discussions of transphobia to be closed. You all STILL refuse to answer my question: Why don't the mods address it? It doesn't need an announcement to be cracked-down upon; I just told you flat-out that offensive content is unacceptable in all forms and transphobia will be warned when reported.

Asking if it's "the norm on ATRL" and if we advocate transphobia is disruptive. It wasn't a general thread discussing why transphobia is an issue, it was a thread that was a borderline accusation of advocation of transphobia on the part of the staff. As I said twice before: we will deal with transphobia when it is reported. It is not acceptable. We do not find it hard to close threads and issue warnings.

I don't know why it was closed; I did not close it and there has been no discussion of it. It may have been because of the source being TMZ, it may have involved a preemptive response to ignorance already being displayed in there and in regards to ATRL's general inability to discuss sensitive issues such as that without coming off like a gigantic prick (because trust me, you know and I know that ATRL needs to work A LOT on topics like transphobia), etc. However, simply assuming that it was closed because the staff of the site somehow advocates transphobia is misguided and ignores several other possibilities.
