If she performed a typical pop song like g.u.y she would be seen as just another pop girl, this is a performance on a new show that is most likely going to be remembered, she might as well showcase her talent and perform a intelligent song like artpop, dont judge me im trying to cope
but it's not even like ARTPOP is the best song on the album though.. it smells like there may not even be a 3rd single imo. Maybe lead single from Act 2 is coming in the next few months/weeks instead
Yea, but honestly it's just gonna get ignored. The performance will have no impact and it'll be another 1-2 months of us waiting for the real single while she moves 2k units a week. Oh well
On a commercial standpoint it makes so sense, its not going to help with single sales/album sales but i honestly think she doesn't care about all that at this point. you can try to rationalize it however you want (i've already seen some monsters do it lol) but it just continues to prove how bad of a popstar she really is. great musician, but ultimately a shoddy popstar when not surrounded by her full team i.e. for the past three years.
