I don't think Gaga was physically or mentally ready to release the album. She hadn't seem to physically recover from her surgery fully, and her emotional state (judging by her tweets) seemed unstable.
The app, the album, the video, the singles.....All a rushed mess that everyone went into blind. There seemed to be hardly any strategy.
I hope Gaga is better now!

The app had so much potential.
The gif maker was a nice idea, but shouldn't be the main reason for it to exist.
She should had released weekly videos from behind-the-scenes from shoots, performances, interviews.
She should have released a few songs on them.
Put Pictures on them! Lyrics!! Anything.
And what was this about connecting people? It only has a messy chat like on lm.com.

Actually maybe TechHAUS should be fired.
They messed up the app.
They messed up Volantis.
They messed up the codes for the tour sale.
They messed up DWUW being age restricted for days/weeks on youtube.

I remember loving Gaga so much. I would blame myself for thinking more about her than about God (at that time I was kind of religious, not anymore  )
I stopped being a stan because I grew up, I think, not because she started being annoying. I don't think her personality has change very much since TFM, it's just that we got used to it and got kind of tiring.
Her music videos still slay in my opinion, her performance are as good as before in my opinion - of course, now that she has established herself as an show stopper and as a surprise performer, they will never have the same effect over people that they had when her surprises were unexpected, but they're still good.
The only problem I have with her is the music. It's simply not as catchy and innovative as her previous material, but she's a talented songwriter and I believe she still has it in her. If she just would team up again with RedOne...
I don't think the GP has a problem with her artsy personality. They don't care about much of anything besides the music. Today, on the pop world, the main reason a songs finds success is because of its catchiness (melody and production), so that's the only thing about Gaga's songs that have to be improved so she can partially find the same success she once had.
What do you guys think? Do you guys also believe the production/melody is the main problem? Or do you guys also think she should change her lyrics? I think they're fine...

Well I don't think it's the music, it's her image.
I'm pretty sure even if she released Bad Romance now it wouldn't slay as hard.
People are just tired of her being "weird".
I mean DWUW is a charts song par excellence and yet........and don't come with the no video excuse. She performed it at the AMA's and the Voice and it never went Top10 (again).
Others can be No. 1 without a video too.

I'm sorry but I don't think there's such thing as "Oh, this song is catchy, but it didn't slay much".
If it was catchy, it would have slayed. So the reason DWUW didn't slay, it's because as much as the fans connected to it (and kind of overrated it), the GP didn't feel the same think. And the reason behind it it's not her personality, it's only the music.
I think we're bound to disagree on this one, since I'm the kind of person that undermines the power of an artists image, and you're probably the kind of person that bolsters it, but I just wanted to say

Her look or the music have nothing to do with her failure. She was literally away from music for more than 2 years. She lost her popularity in that time like anyone would. But, the promo stopped after the GMA performance. So, she never became fully relevant again if you understand what I mean.

Not every song charts high just cause it's catchy. And some catchy songs don't ever make the charts. It's a mix of all things.
I can just say from people around me that loved Gaga a few years ago, that they are turned off by her as a person with her image and don't even give her new songs a chance.
