I genuinely thought new people decided to make countdowns to join the section

But this quote is true. Although Razzle and some users do the "23/30" posting, but its always nicer to post some comments. Also other regulars from YTT post on you countdown

I think it has to do with the stigma that YTT is the place to post your Personal Music Countdown (even if it doesn't explicitly say it). That's why people like me are getting confused
