Other than the amount of time between classes, my school is trashy LOL. You can roam the halls as long as you have your ID on you. I don't just mean from point A to B, you can literally walk around the same guards and if they see you they can't say anything when you show your ID. (ofc most people go to class, but still)

We have 5 minutes to get to classes too. My school has 12 buildings and I have classes in several buildings. With all this snow and them not even bothering to shovel the snow out of the walk way, it's ridiculous. We get immediate detentions if we're late.

When I was in high school, you were supposed to never have your phone out. This rule got broken more & more as the years went by, & the teachers kinda stopped caring at some point. I think now they're trying to integrate phones into learning which would be more beneficial. Banning them was just so outdated by the early 10s, & it was kinda futile with high school kids lol.

My high school banned all other technology during the school day which included iPods, but again they started giving up on this rule too. It was so annoying not to be able to listen to music in the hallway or when there weren't many people at the lunch table.

My middle school wouldn't let us chew gum, but this one was kinda for good reason. There was a disgusting amount of gum under the desks. I also think banning phone usage with middle schoolers is justifiable, but not with high schoolers.

You had to sign in and out of the bathrooms
You could only go to the bathrooms in the middle 15 minutes of class
The security guards didn't let us talk or stand still in the hallway

I wish I had these problems, most teachers don't let us go to the bathroom during class at all and we have 90 minute periods and freshmen are ALWAYS standing still in the hallway, it makes everyone have to walk slow as hell. I don't know why people can't walk a decent pace

Last week I was going down the hallway to get to my locker and it was so crowded, there was literally a line of people trying to get past the people standing still. One of my friends was at her locker and we looked at each other and burst out laughing

Yeah , in my old school everyone was really strict about students contacting teachers after hours because one day during freshman yr. me and my best-friend sent our english teacher pictures of us in only in our underwear , touching each other

I only read the beginning but my school was 5 minutes and you have to go to your locker if you need to get books. You just need to structure your schedule. If you have to carry the books for the next 3 periods then that is what I did at least. I'm surprised you guys were allowed to have bookbags carried around with you like WHAT? Overcrowded hallway

I have metal detectors and a bag scanner (?). It's at every main entrance of the school and you cannot get in without passing through them.

The one dumb thing my high school had were the rules against certain clothing. They actually think some perverted 14 year old is going to *** his pants and lose focus b/c a girl is wearing spaghetti straps?

Oh @ you people being given a time you're allowed between periods.

We're fine to show up late as long as its for valid reasons (like locker, toilet, both, talking to other teachers, etc.)

Our school is pretty lax tho. But other schools in the area are allowed to control how long a boys hair gets or make them shave their beards etc. And some have rules against eating outside and using your phone

oh girls have to wear their skirts @ a certain length (they never do, they always wear it higher) and before sixth form boys had to have their ties at a certain length. and you have to have your top button done (no1 really cares anymore)

My school doesn't even have lockers. They ran out of money while building the school so they had to cut things like a pool and lockers. There's really no weird rules though.

The only thing I dislike is tardy-sweeps.
Like ok, I'm late to class and you're going to punish me by taking me to a room and make me do irrelevant work?
Isn't the whole reason that people get mad at you being late is that you miss class time?
Well you're making me miss the ENTIRE class time by taking me to tardy-sweeps.

All the teachers hate it cause most don't even care if you're late. It's the dam principals and Asst. principals.
