Using perhaps the only relevant countries on a global scale, I've realized that ICON may be a undefined term nowadays
The Icon, Black Madonna, Rihanna: Unapologetic
US: 1.1 Million
UK: 700k
Japan: 60k+?
Canada: 80k?
Australia: 70k
The has-been, the faded, bleaching popstar Beyoncé Knowles: BEYONCÉ
US: 1.7 Million (oh?)
UK: 330k (in less than a quarter of how long Una's been out, oh gracious)
Aus: 70k:
Japan: 12k imports (not yet to be released there I believe)
Canada: 80,000
The local sell-out and *****, Taylor Swift: RED
US: 3,997,000
UK: 502,000
Japan: 270,000
Aus: 310,000
Canada: 320,000
Please correct me if I am wrong but wow. Besides the word 'icon' does the word 'global' also have a very loose and undefined meaning nowadays? I mean wasn't The Fellatio World Tour also outgrossed by The Mrs Carter Show World Tour? And local sweetheart Taylor Swift's soon to be finished Red Tour, despite less dates and not playing as many countries? Oh dear! It seems like the Britlexia passed over to the Rihanna fans during the S&M remix. Twelve number ones is it? How many of those number ones are from a number one album? How many are remembered? Maybe two? A true singles artists it seems. I guess the two number ones corresponds with how many decent performances she's had. It has taken her how many tries to get a number one album? 7? 7 times to realize that no matter how many times she goes back to Chris that all he really wants is a hit? 7 swallowing sessions of Jay's dick to produce the RIHashed trash she puts on a daily scale? 7 hm? Like how she only has about 7 more years of a career (being generous) left before she's back to being a maid at the Carter mansion? Oh I forgot does she write songs? I mean the last thing I actually remember her writing was her signature on a paper back in 2009 about the same time this month when Chris punched that 40 acre forehead. Poor ICON

Chiwetel Ejiofor is overrated in "12 Years A Slave." It's a shame he thinks he's an
actual contender for an Oscar. Michael Fassbener and Lupita Nyong'o outshine him.

Also because she doesnt have a song/album that deserves a Grammy and he doesn't have a role that deserves an Oscar. The closest he came to it was with Gilbert Grape. Peaked at 18 .

You liked Sarah Paulson in it? I still can't decide with her. While she generally pulled off the steely demeanor pretty well, at times she just seemed flat and unemotional. But I suppose she was pretty good.

He's probably more of an factor than Fassbender. He actually won many critics awards and he was considered the frontrunner before Matt McConaughey swooped in. Has Fassbender won any notable awards?

Did you see Chiwetel Ejiofor's face when he didn't win the Golden Globe?
He really does thinks he deserves an Oscar. Poor guy. At least he got a BAFTA.
That should ease the pain for when he loses to Leonardo DiCaprio at The Oscars in March.

Yeah I think she was pretty great. She nailed the woman's evilness but made it clear where that anger came from - she was weak, jealous and submissive.

No. Actually Fassbender was considered the favorite to win BAFTA (since Leto wasn't nominated anyway) but Abdi snatched it.
