I will wait for the new material before I decide to jump the ship or not, after all, I stan for Taylor first, not for country nor any specific producer ! however if she does songs like Wish You Were Here, Roar or "DJ Got Us Fallin' in Love then bye, I wouldn t mind things like Since You Been Gone or Behind These Hazel Eyes though.
I know we may make fun of country, call it KKKUntry or make fun of Luke Bryan's and all that but I'll still defend it. People like to conveniently forget that the only people paying any attention to that curly haired bumpkin with a song called Tim McGraw was the country crowd. I'll let you guys from your own opinions on other country acts or the flop attitude of some country DJs but it's a bit of a slap in the face some thing Taylor done. I don't blame her of course but country music is (supposed to be) like a family. It was built on traditions and sounds set by the likes of Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, Meryl Haggard, and so many more. Taylor was on a platform and had the talent to take current country and completely make it her own, for a while it seemed like she could starting so many new trends, bringing back songwriting, introducing new sounds etc. But instead it feels like she just wants to make easy pop hit singles without trying anything else. If she decide country music ain't for her and she only wants to maybe make the occasional country tune that's her choice. But she shouldn't be parading around pretending to be a country artist, accepting their awards etc. if that's not what she wants. All while promoting her album as if it's a Max Martin bubblegum disney channel star record. I just hope she remembers pop fans will drop you like that if it's the cool thing to hate on you.
I'm actually so sick of people being so worried about her sexual life. If she wants to smash a guy every night, let her! What's it to them? What possible threat could that pose to them or anyone? I mean, most them go parading how some guy gave em a little bit of action in the bathroom stall at the club. Then go around and slam Taylor for simply standing beside, taking a picture with, or even being in the same room as a guy.

I also hope she won t do the same mistake of releasing a pop song and shoving it down our throats that it s country, if she wants to go pop then she should go ahead, with no country support.
I don t want crossover/ hybrid songs, I want real pop tunes/or real country tunes (wont happen) , I feel like her next album will be like the biggest challenge of her career tbh, excited and worried at the same time, will she succeed where Shania Twain, Leann Rimes or Faith Hill failed.
