I'm all in for those artists who "take an idea, expand on that idea, and create a phenomenon." It's really not about "who jacked what from whom."
No one cares about the origin. Michael Jackson didn't create the "Moonwalk," but he made it mainstream and it will forever be associated with him. Madonna didn't create "Voguing," but she made it mainstream and it will forever be associated with her. Ke$ha didn't create glitter, but she made glitter mainstream and it will forever be associated with her.
