RE: BRITs, here's 2011 as your example.

Look at every International category. Look at the list of performers. Justin Bieber was in attendance but didn't perform.

It's essentially a contractual agreement that if you turn up, you'l win the BRIT for turning up. Outside the British categories it has no credibility. So....well done on those 2 international BRIT awards in that one-horse race you had I guess?

No one is saying that the Grammys are not popular or the most famous music award. We were saying that the BRITS are the equivalent of the Grammys in the UK because the BRITs are UK's biggest music award. It's really not that hard.
