Yes, I actually think Madonna's performances are better than her performing because every single detail is well put together + she has more thematic cohesiveness than basically anyone in the business. However, she does have crazy stage presence, good dancing skills and at least used to have an acceptable voice. She can entertain like no other.
Beyoncé and Pink have actual raw talent and can always rely on that.
Gaga is messy. Not only her performing, her performances also - which is sad because she does have the potential to be great, like she was on the Swine Fest. She either throws too much into it or does some horrible choreographies or rely on stupid gimmicks.

I think Gaga assumes that anything that is polished and well thought through is manufactured and inartistic. Messy performances to her are raw and unfiltered.
I mean Miley is obviously tremendously influenced by Gaga. She spent the whole Fame Monster, Born This Way eras telling the press about it while wearing shoulder pads everywhere.
