I think the problem is people saying they don't like it because it could hinder its success or not sell it as much as a darker theme would.

It's 3x platinum, #1, and not going anywhere. If you want unnecessarily dark themed videos why not Stan someone else. Katy obviously isn't into that

I don't bother if there's no 'dark' theme, I don't care about it. But she's almost 30 making music video for people who's 12. Dark Horse has no funny theme like California Gurls or Last Friday Night. It's a consistent, serious song. She messed up everything.

but the song as a whole doesn't deserve a tacky mess. it's not that she can't have fun anymore but it feels like a big step back. whatever agree to disagree but everything about the video so far looks cringe worthy.

She already released a childish/funny MV for Roar. Music isn't a playground everytime and PRISM is another chapter in her life. I'm sure you will be proud when she's 50 releasing this kind of stuff. Talk about a solid and respected carrer.

Uhhh she's not 50. I doubt when she's 50 she will be doing this kind of music. She said so herself.

Maybe English is not your first language but the lyrics for DH and especially the rap part can be interpreted as camp. So the music video treatment is not so far fetched.

Please stop acting like your opinion is a consensus when you're coming off like a know it all kid that tells older people what to do ("don't have fun! You're 30"). So ageist and offensive.
