Wait you think THIS was promotion for BEYONCÉ? haha. This doesn't refer to her new album it refers to her documentary where she says that she doesn't just make singles she focuses on making full albums, evidenced by 4. Do you want to keep trying to dig into her tumblr for promo?
Even if this was promotion, do you think people were like "I saw that picture that says that Beyonce makes albums so I RAN to the store to get my copy."

What random commercials? I had to watch her ALBUM ad before watching videos on YT, that's not promo?
Beyoncé may not have personally promoted her album, but the album had massive media promotion due to how it was released. That's not a fair example of something that has no promo. 'Dark Horse' is a better example - Katy didn't even acknowledge the song was anything but an Album Track until the Grammys when it was already #1.

What I was saying is promotion for an album is not limited to promotion before its release, Beyonces album had more than enough promotion on its release date and afterwards for everyone to know about it the day it got released or soon after.
