Sandra was. She repeated her 2009 success, but even bigger. The Heat was one of the most successful female-driven comedies of all time, and Gravity was in the Top 10 grosses of the year domestic AND worldwide, and has been hailed as the best technical achievement since Avatar.

She deserves the Best Actress Oscar this year. Her performance in Gravity was so raw and powerful.

I forgot about The Heat. Still I wouldn't put her above Jen who won an Oscar, had one of the most critically acclaimed movies and the 4th highest grossing movie of the year. It's time you bandwagon the actress of our generation.
