the songhas such a good structure to it. It's in my Born This Way trinity.
but at the thought of DWUW and Applause not having been on the album. i want her to follow her creative vision but those two songs are amazing and definitely in the top half of the album, im kinda glad that they resulted on the album regardless of the backstory.
DWUW wasn't going to be on the album until she managed to get R. Kelly last minute. So it was a last minute addition but she wanted it on the album. Applause, I have no idea. I can't imagine the album without it either, but it does seem just tacked on at the end - and her reasoning about being in the club and knowing it at the end was total bs, lol
