The song is ALREADY #1 without any 'embarrassing childish things', if the video is childish (you haven't even seen the full thing), then its success won't be hurt.
Well of course it's gonna be over the top. You don't expect a boring, "dark" and serious to go viral, do you? This theme alone will increase views.
E.T. video is my one of the most epic and favourite music video of all time. This will be popular but people will look at her as a joke She didn't have to do this
Obviously I should wait to judge until the whole video is out but I think I can already tell I won't like it. From the cheesy intro with the horrible fonts to the grill, it's just way too try-hard and way too juvenile. But it's not like Katy is known for her brilliant and mature videos so whatever.
