Today's a new day, and tomorrow, they day after tomorrow, etc. No one has a valid excuse to stay home, if different groups of people go protest at different times of the day is much better so everyone gets to rest a little and get clean for a new day of protesting. A lot of people are protesting very near their own homes so they can hide in case the police arrives..

Back then it was different cause after that coup d'état the regime got rid of everyone in the military that wasn't a certified 200% chavista. But there are stories that some military people are now tired of Maduro as well, but take this with a grain of salt..

This is just so sad and I don't know what to think anymore. I don't know if violent protests are the answer, we'd be going against what we are trying to stand for which is justice and we are fighting for our rights by breaking laws... But how many laws does the government break on a daily basis? It's just scary to keep living here. And it hurts me to see what we've come to, it really does, and I hate to sound dramatic but it really does hurt to see such a beautiful country go to **** like this.

The worst part of it all is that I feel so helpless and I feel like, once again, all these deaths and all that's happening is gonna be in vain. Nothing is gonna happen and everything will be back to normal in a few days.

I know this is a possibility. But what I think to motivate myself is that we owe it to the future generations, I want those people (that will probably fight to DEATH for food) to know that we at least did something and that we didn't let these communists do whatever they wanted with our country. That's what I say to myself and other people..

Yeah, I guess you have a point. To risk your life though... Sometimes I feel like this country is such a lost cause. I feel horrible saying that, I've had so many arguments these last few days about this but I really do feel like we've been on this fight for well over a decade and it's still the same... It's discouraging to say the least. And right now it just hit me...all of this and... it hurts :-/

Btw I think that we do have a shot! I know I'm kinda quoting Catching Fire but I notice something different in these protests, what I hear when I talk to people is that they are beyond tired, they don't care about protesting for days, what's the alternative? To stay in those hideous food lines for the rest of their lives?

We can stay blocking highways and streets under the sun OR we can stand under the sun outside a supermarket trying to find some food and fight with each other to buy the most basic goods. The alternative isn't peaceful in the slightest!

People feel like they have nothing to lose, that's what's different!
