Mariah had The Emancipation of Mimi era when she was well into her 30s. Don't act like it's impossible.

Mariah was in a FAR better position than Britney is now. Please don't try that one at all.
Do you honestly think Britney... currently, as in today, modern times, has the ability to have a major era? What will she bring to the table?

It's also important to note that out of the two bey will be more remembered for the music they made

Lol no, Bey's music is not more memorable than Britney's. Bey's memorable songs are Listen, Halo, Crazy In Love. Even Single Ladies is almost forgettable. Britney has a lot of memorable songs, Toxic, OIDIA, BOMT, Slave, Everytime, ... Those songs have helps from their music video and performance also.
Beyonce will need one or two more eras to become a legend and she will def be There.

lol okay.
When you say major era do you mean have one where everyone bandwagons her for three weeks like they did with Beyonce, or have a long and successful one where she gets everyone pressed like Katy does? Britney doesn't even try anymore, if she bothered to put in half of the effort everyone else does it would be easy to say yes/no. If Britney decided she wanted to come back, for real, she could. I mean, she is Britney Spears, after all.

FF had singles to back up its album sales and she didn't even promote much that era. HIAM was very influential that time.

not arguing with you about imaginary & hypothetical situations
let's look at the facts please, Britney is not cutting it, that is all
Bey didn't need an album to have bandwagons, she has them when she does nothing simply bc of the hype around her name, plus heaps of real fans
the BEYONCÉ era has a #2 single, almost 3mil WW, universal critical accalim, & a $200 Million grossing tour, there's no way of getting around that

This. If Britney cared, she could outsell all our basic faves on her name alone. She's a certified legend and pop icon and of course, not the Queen of Pop, but the Princess of Pop and no one can take that from her. She's paid her dues and I believe she can do whatever she wants from now on.

of course Brit's songs will be remembered but as I fore mentioned if we add dc into the equation we have independent women, survivor.
add that to the fact that bey's music has been consistently acclaimed through out her career then you'll see that bey's music will be more remembered in the future

That's why I said 'if' If Brit decided she wanted to be on top, she could (most likely, would) be on top. You don't get to the top if you don't care. Beyonce/Katy are on top, right now, because they care. If you don't care, you're not going to sell 3mil WW like Bey or have a single be in the top 10 for 60,000 years like Katy. Shocking, isn't it?
Good for her x but let's not act like those sales came from the hype around the name Beyoncé, it came from the fact the 'visual album' BEYONCÉ dropped out of nowhere.

I can't debate your "If" statement bc there is no way to know BUT if we look at Brit's ability and track record in terms of talent and quality, there is not much evidence supporting your "if she cared" theory
also, the fact is the fact
people don't buy albums for no reason, can't blame bey for being smart

I can't when people are acting like Britney's bringing her A game and still flops. She hasn't given a **** for years now.
When she did care she scanned Diamond with her albums, only a true legend.

Her track record in terms of quality? You mean putting out some of the best pop music since her debut (sans Britney Jean, apart from the Godly Alien and Passenger)? That track record? lol

Bey is a legend because of her longevity. Her impact success, critical acclaim and longevity can't be matched by her peers. Britney is more of an icon with a very frontloaded career.

Britney is really legendary, she defines an entire generation is impressive. The fact that Beyoncé managed to get bigger and bigger with each era is also really impressive but I think she hasn't done anything as legendary as for example '...Baby One More Time', 'Oops!... I Did It Again' or 'Toxic'. Single Ladies maybe!

Youre missing the point. Mj died an undeniable legend. Britney hasnt gotten there yet (in the eyes of everyone but ha stans) and by the looks of things, she wont be able to turn things around and get to legend status before retiring.
