I also do support the shows that are like, MBC/SBS/whatever episodes filmed so they cover as many bases as possible. Even if the sets are shorter, the fans get to have a lot more than they would with a mini-concert solo. More value for the money, too.
I think that would actually be a really applicable strategy in AMERICA too. Let all the acts sell merch too, and it's like a win-win.

Actually there was an article a while ago saying how the broadcasting centers in Korea basically leech off of the success of Kpop stars by forcing them to come together and have a concert together.
They pay them 20~30% of what they'd be getting for normal venues and if they don't attend, the TV stations might not let those acts promote on their channel. That's why everyone is basically forced to go with whichever venue they have outside of Korea.
I mean if they could sell out a venue on their own, they'd make way more money by doing so.
Not really a win-win for the artists at least.
