This is safer and more typically "Mariah", to be sure. Do I like it? Sure. But I've heard this type of record from her plenty of times now.

This. I am much much happier with #Beautiful and was hoping she'd stick to that train. production wise this is terrible rehash Mariah. I saw an acoustic cover on YouTube and thought it was perfect she could have done that instead of this basic ass keyboard piano and 808 that she always does.

I still like the song but I just want organic pop Mariah and if she does urban to put some real production behind it like some funk music like she use to. She keeps trying to get herself another WBT. but whatever she might have succeeded with this

The reverb on the pre-chorus is so good & then she sounds so dry & bare on the chorus.

I wonder if the iTunes version tomorrow will have better mixing/mastering.

But this song has/had major potential, so it's going to grow, obvi.
I give it a 7 right now, all things considered, but it could be an easy ass 10.

I think I liked #Beautiful upon first listen, but I didn't think it would do as well as it did. No doubt the radio deal helped. I remember the majority of ATRL either liked it or thought "meh", but once it started outperforming Jenny's single and getting recognition from Pitchfork, all of a sudden it was great.

I like "You're Mine" and I actually think it's much catchier than #Beautiful, not as "fresh", but catchier. An acoustic version would be

The problem is just that #Beautiful is so amazing and I didn't think Mariah had that kind of slay in her anymore. I mean it's on par with her pop classics Dreamlover, Heartbreaker, Honey and Fantasy so I need her to stay there. This is kind of a return of basic MC, it's still real cute. I'm so bi-polar cause this IS good and I think it can do very very well but Id rather never see her in the top 10 again and keep getting flaw freeeeeee songs like Beautiful for the rest of her career

It's absolutely amazing.... I just cannot... But in all honesty the mixing and mastering is just bad and I really hope they've fixed it in the iTunes release! It's definetly a hit.. And the closest she's come to topping We Belong Together, musically and lyrically...

From the moment I heard #Beautiful, I thought it could be a #1 smash or at least close to one. It sounds like a song that would appeal to everyone. It was off to a great start but never took off the way I had hoped. It truly deserved better. Hopefully things will be different and she can secure herself at least a Top 10 this time around.

I'm so sad to say that I am a little underwhelmed by her solo version, I really prefer the remix version with Trey, except for his auto-tune piece at the beginning...I still like the Beautiful duet with Miguel better tho...will wait for iTunes version and the video to see if it changes my mind MIMI I had such hopes for you.
