The Iron Lady, Erin Brockovich, The Devil Wears Prada etc. Basically any role that depicts a woman being strong, independent and a picture of power and pride. Not something derogatory as being a maid, slave, a prostitute although I don't find anything wrong with those roles as long as the performance is compelling. I even think the "ugly roles" when done well are the most likely to be nominated.

The only Asian actors I know are Lucy Lui, Jackie Chan, and Bruce Lee. Two out of three of which are only depicted stereotypically.
