Erotica being called a flop when compared to the sales of previous albums
Her new material being ignored
M apparently being over when they can't stop talking about her
I love the early 90s Erotica era. Throughout her career she had always been controversial and theatrical, but she truly embraced these two things to create mainstream pop's first biggest backlash. Hate was the new love and Erotica had this theme all over it in its songs. I don't think she knew it would've been that bad, but she quickly adjusted herself to the new environment. Just like Dita (herself), she had to 'act' like a winner and stay on top instead of the people (gp) she was hilariously messing with.
Her best album hands down. Although I agree that Bedtime Stories was her attempt to be safe and radio friendly again, the other girls then and now wouldn't dare to make the first step ala Erotica anyway. She is, after all, a pop star.
Unfortunately, Madonna post HC is ****ing terrible.

It's crazy how despised she really was at one point.
Love Spent is overrated there are far better songs on the album
Acoustic >>>>> album
It's so overrated and I don't know why people think it would make any impression on the charts when compared to other songs. A ballad wouldn't stand a chance on mainstre pop radio, at least Adele's singles had a faster tempo.
Superstar actually had potential, especially with the Summer Olympics. It was even used in a damn promo too
But then again I think the same of 'Turn Up The Radio' and how it was a perfect Summer song that could have gotten moderate radio plays and then the irony I never heard it on the radio.
