I've been in so many of these vocals arguments
This is the same argument people use against Kelly Clarkson.. They say that although her technique is amazing she has a boring/unremarkable tone. I know it's just their opinion but to me it seems like meaningless negativity towards an objectively good singer
I'll take "boring" tone with great technique over great tone with bad technique, but that's just me
