They flew out somewhere and her bags went missing, so she threw a fit, even after Bey offered to lend her clothes; she wanted her stuff. Then, she refused to perform and missed a couple shows because she was tired, homesick etc. They were due to tour Australia, begged her to come out and she said no, so there wasn't really much they could do but carry on without her. And this all happened in the midst of them shooting their MTV special, where she was withdrawn the whole time, and didn't want to be on or speak on camera.
