But that's amazing for the debut. Imagine if she gets more support from Europe, I imagine the debut could maybe get a proper release there and get the extra sales. Amazing.

This is smart though, I think what she did with the Berlin show. They'll be a lot of talk I bet after the show about how they were one of the few places she visited and whatnot.

Also I think her appeal to songwriting has lost some charm, it feels like it its an over used word for everyone. That Katy track list picture that's always linked here is a good example of how anyone can 'be an songwriter'. A reporter or interviewer is going to ask Taylor the same question theyre going to ask Katy, etc. The samey-ness is perpetuated everywhere. If we were to ask a random person what they thought the artistic differences between the two are, I think we would be hard pressed to find differences

I disagree. Taylor has a much larger fanbase than Katy in terms of dedicated fans. Katy has a wide appeal with her pop singles but thats pretty much it. I think if Taylor goes the Katy route she will see album sales decline about 50% almost immediately.
