ACTUALLY. I'd take Blur sound. NOT the likes of Def Leppard or that kind of trash. It's as worse as MM.
You're in the wrong decade sis. Def Leppard/hair metal was big in the 80's, not the 90's. 90's pop/rock would be R.E.M./Lisa Loeb/Sheryl Crow/Soul Asylum/Smashing Pumpkins/DMB/Beck/Wallflowers etc. I'm assuming that's what they mean, at least.

Oh I must got it mixed. Because I've always associated '90s pop rock being hair metal trash like White Snake etc.

nah she'll go 60s & 70s style folk rock, think mamas and papas and Bread, and joni and also girl-pop like the Shirelles. Gotta get her "Singer-Songwriter" album out before the jMay-prompted KaceyM-assisted KP gets hers out and scoops all the attention

The next album could still be country-folk-rock for all we know so I'm taking everything with a grain of salt

To add to my earlier post, she told me it was a mix of Blur/Sheryl Crow 90's stuff. And that surprisingly, there isn't THAT many love songs on the album, that Taylor felt inspired by other things this time and that that's what she means that this album is "different" than any others she's done before. A rumored track on the album is called "Canyon in the Valley" and that it has more of a folk-rock vibe and is the most different from the rest of the album.
