I was just watching an interview with her and some reporter was asking her about Glitter or the sdtk and she was like "we don't speak ITS name around". I was dead @ her for referring to the Glitter era as IT.
But critics and hipsters crowd LOVED it. Gaga has never been a visionary like Kanye. Dance-pop with some nonsensical lyrics and botched vocals ain't "genius" music. Let me know when Gaga breaks out of her elements (which is dance/electronica/EDM) and make an album that actually says something that's not over a bunch of NOISE.
ofc she's a visionary like Kanye. They both took something that people think is a joke (pop, hip-hop/rap) and made it art. and did it successfully.

Imo the main reason for the downfall of ARTPOP is Gaga's "ART" shtick, which comes off as try hard to the public. All the whole "Hey look, I'm making art" can be a big turn off.
I could never get into Gaga's personality. She's so fake nice. I really believe she put Perez up to the Xtina smear campaign. She uses others to say the stuff she wants to say and she's done it since the beginning. When she was getting Tara and all her other folks to talk sh*t/poke fun of Madonna thru tweets.. When she made the i'm a blonde who doesn't lipsync dig at Britney yet claimed to love her. She's so passive aggressive lol. She even threw thinly veiled spite Katy and Miley's way last year thru tweets. She really needs to say what she feels and stop the diplomatic persona. That is obviously not who she is in real life. If she was as honest as Madonna, Xtina, or Britney, I would prob. like her.
I've mentioned this about a dozen times now, it seems. It doesn't take too long for her to relay her contemptuous attitude, and chances are it won't be aurally or visually. Just take note of how easy it is to pick up on any time she tweets one of her contemporaries.

No popstar would admit to killing themselves. Her publicist already spoke on the issue, that's enough confirmation for me that it's real.
