She
IS also a songwriter. She has written her own work and/or co-written with other producers/writers. She has written songs on the "J.Lo" album, she wrote heavily on the "This Is Me... Then" album, where she wrote almost every single track on the album, taking ideas from a journal that she kept and wrote into while on set of her films, and with little to no help from longtime co-writer and producer Cory Rooney. She wrote the song "Alive" on her own for the film "Enough", for domestic abuse victims something her director wanted her to do but she wanted to do it naturally as the filming progressed. In which her husband at the time [Criss Judd] helped her with a written melody from a piano. One of Faith Evan's most well known hits "I Love You" was also co-written by Jennifer, which was supposed to be a on the "J.Lo" album but handed to her instead because Jen did not want it.
She is also a succesful business woman with a prospering production company, a successful clothing line, a best selling perfume line, etc. This made her one of the first female artists to create their own empire, and many artists have followed suit from Nicki Minaj to Beyonce to Jessica Simpson, etc., some with little to no success.
She is also arguably one of the best performers of our generation and one of the best dancers still currently in the game [the Celia Cruz tribute being a more recent example].
She is the Most Influential Latina in the US. She was the Most Powerful Celebrity in the World. She is one of The Best Selling Musicians in the World. She has already established herself as an Hollywood Icon. She is also a Fashion Icon, no need for explanation. She is one of the Most Beautiful Women in the World.
She is the one and only Jennifer Lopez! A hugely successful singer-songwriter, actress, dancer, producer, fashion designer, perfumist superstar, etc. She is a legend! If not she will be! She is a legend for what she has accomplished as a Latina in this industry.
But she has no impact, average songs, no talent, no acclaim, and she's not a songwriter? #grlbye !
