GODBRACELET is the name.
Don't act like you don't recognize her greatest work.    |

To me, what's worst about Memoirs is Obsessed not the actual music but the cover combined with that title. 'Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel' makes her seem like an conceited yet whining bitch, like, I might be angelic but I ain't perfect, either, you know? Have some sympathy and buy my album! Also, 'Memoirs' imply memorable and somewhat serious songs but then there are lyrics like, Love you like free money, like a preacher loves Sunday
And as if that title would not have been trashy enough the cover beats everything. It does not even try to reflect the sentimental title. Instead a somehow tripled Mariah shows off her boobs and smiles like lunatic.

Seriously, if she scratched some of those tacky lyric lines, made a cover like the one for 'The Art of Letting Go' or the fan-made one below, and named it at least something like 'Memoirs of an Imperfect Diva', then my perception of this album wouldn't have become so bad in the first place. Maybe even the GP would have received another, classier impression.

Memoirs remains one of Mariah's best albums no matter how much you guys try to dispute it!   |

I agree. Memoirs is such a masterpiece. You have to be open to it to really appreciate it. Same with Rainbow.
ANYWAYS. I'm glad that urban is making such a large comeback. That might be beneficial for G0D her next (buzz) single

Even though I have to strongly disagree I am not trying to dispute it. I actually acknowleged that it has its moments, let's say. I just wish they wouldn't have made it so easy to dispute it, though, with such tacky cover and cheap title .    |

That said, I do think that most of the album lives up to the title. Some of the lyrics throughout are cheesy, but most of the songs are really personal (it's not like "I'm That Chick" and "Cruise Control" type songs are on the album) and reference the past (BGK, MTJF, Candy Bling) and, as many fans have said, the album is rather cohesive sonically (except for Obsessed, cause she needed a radio hit to introduce the album). While I love EoM and E=MC2, I feel like they weren't all that personal on the whole, so I was very happy that Memoirs seemed much more honest and real (which is part of the reason I've played it more than EoM and E=MC2).

And let's remember that the best ballad of her career is the third track on Memoirs    |

E=MC2 is her most diverse album.
Mariah Carey through Daydream is filled with gushy Pop songs. Butterfly is 90s R&B.

Rainbow / Glitter is fitting trends. Charmbracelet, TEOM, Memoirs are more of Adult R&B.

E=MC2 had hood (O.O.C., Side Effects, Heat, Migrate) mixed with bubble-gum Pop (Touch My Body, I'm That Chick, I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time) also R&B (Bye Bye, Last Kiss, For The Record, etc) even with new things such as Reggae (Cruise Control).

She has yet to have an album touch it diversity wise.

  | Too bad the album is pretty forgettable, especially compared to that of 90s R&B     |

E=mc^2 and Rainbow are the EXACT same album for several reasons although E is better.    |

Both came after hugely career redefining and more "weighty" albums, both are more light hearted(a.k.a POP-pier) and of their time than their predecessors, both were middingly successful, both highly imaged based eras, etc. Both precipitated a decline in stature. They are very similar actually.    |
