Beyoncé stans doing the most as usual. As I said in my first post, Beyoncé is a legend too, so I don't know what you all are so pressed about. Is Beyoncé the only "legend" that is allowed? Is there a one legend limit per generation?

No one's angry here. You were wrong and now you're salty. Get over it. A simple "I stand corrected" would've sufficed.
That's your problem.

News outlets called it the albums induction and I did as well, as I've already said. Plus, it's easier to say Hall of Fame than Hall of Fame Library and Archives.
I guess I can see how you'd be upset at a slight twisting of the technicalities on my part, and I apologize for that. I stand corrected. You don't need Midol this week.

Does imply that an album being their archives is the same honour as someone's career being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?

I think the issue is that just because you say that Beyonce is a legend, it doesn't mean that every Beyonce stan's opinion will be in line with yours.

No, it does, because inducting means to "admit something or someone formally to a position or organization." That's completely different to putting some more material into a library. The Hall of Fame=/= The Hall of Fame Library.

It can now be accessed in The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame's music library and archives by music fans and even cited by scholars for academic work. The archives were created to be the “most comprehensive repository of materials relating to the history of rock and roll." So Britney doesn't just have sales, she also has the "musical genius" that you mentioned in your typical, rude ATRL member post. Her music actually is comparable to the legends, because it is in the same archives as other legends. Please feel free to try again, but maybe you should try posting like an adult and respect the opinions of others.

One album out of her whole discography got noticed by the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame, and that makes her a musical genius, better yet legend? Calling her a musical genius is like calling Rihanna a vocal legend. Also, the critical acclaim of that album is due to the producer she's worked with. And she barely wrote any of it either.
Britney contributes as much to her music as a young Disney star.
Again, she's not a legend. Doesn't have the artistry of one, doesn't have the impact (on actual music) of one. Sales shouldn't contribute at all, it just means she's popular.
She's an icon undoubtedly; everyone knows her. But a legend? A status received by artists the likes of James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Frank Sinatra? Try again

impossible to list legends without the following names
Aretha Franklin-inspired every singer after
James Brown
Prince
MJ
Stevie Wonder
Whitney
Madonna
Janet
Mariah-the last living legend.
the ones after Mariah are icons.

This does not mean "Britney is a musical genius". This means that the Hall of Fame has a LIBRARY where people can go in and borrow musical material to USE, whether for personal or academic reasons.

Yes, but the album has to be chosen to be added to the records for having an impact on music. By your logic, every album that has ever been recorded should just be added so that people have free access to them... Albums have to meet standards to be added to the records...

A legend is well-known by many for a long time.
An icon is a symbol/figurehead or an easily recognizable image.

I don't need your instructions either. But you clearly need a heap of wit, common sense and intelligence.

No, the album was added to the library because it is part of the rock and roll era. Try again.
