I remember when my family got together to watch the GRAMMYs, and my little cousin asked if Mary Lambert was Madonna and then everybody started dragging her when she came on and my mom was like "have some respect, etc."
but that's how you learned it, right? which is totally fine and expected.
Madonna was born and raised in Michigan, her "lady of the manor" phase was just embarrassing. Interestingly her accent has disappeared since she moved back to the US.
Yeah I studied in a British school. But picking up the accent of where you live is not that weird tho.
