She worked w an unknown who wrote, produced, sung bg vocals, AND played live instruments on the album. He did 80% of the album. Imo that makes for a less "basic" album considering most pop girls have about 200 ppl who worked on the album....

Um Beys album has a ton of writers and producers on it too. And we all know her input besides vocals is minimal (she's done well at admitting it this time tho). BEYONCÉ is a great album but not a single song is innovative- there are a handful of relatively popular artists who have made this sound relevant. Frank, drake, Weekend, etc.

Her shtick has got to be the most offputting popstar shtick I've ever seen, speaking as someone who stanned for Xtina 2000-2004.
