For me, a large inspiration for this next record was staying in L.A. and going down into Laurel Canyon and really just isolating myself from the outside world. So many great artists lived in the Canyon back in the 70's and 80's, and so I used them for inspiration. I would call up people that I had been a fan of for such a long time and they would come stay with me for a few days and we would just write and record non-stop.
That explained why she DID NOTHING from December. Most likely the rest of RED TOUR will be merged into LP5 tour, I think. I hope it's an all-stadium tour.
Edit: Asian and European legs in the summer, South American and North American legs in the fall. African leg in between. Oceania leg in November. Antarctica never has good temperature for stadium shows, wait a minute, did they build stadiums in Antarctica?
I always try to make my albums different from each other sonically. I Think that's something that came along pretty early on in the process with this current project. But now, I'm really trying to push myself and challenge myself to make this album different when it comes to the songwriting aspect. I really want this album to have a completely new narrative that separates it from my past albums.....

[Yes!] It's always fun to try new things and keep your fans on their feet. I mean, my fans know I'll always stay true to who I am, I'll always remain a confessional songwriter, but I like to play around with the many different aspects music, and that's something I'm really going for on this next record. I also try to bring in new fans with each album by having something that people would expect. Something that makes people go 'Oh, that's Taylor Swift? Oh wow, I didn't know she wrote and sang songs like that!' It's just an incredible challenge, but an amazing process.
That's all she talks about new music.. The rest is about her past and I don't have time to transcribe it, but it's a pretty good interview!
I caN`T BELIEVE she had no phone or computer there. Nothing. Just a recorder and her guitar.
That cover was probably shot in NZ. Remember her running on the fields there? It symbolizes freedom and breaking free from her chains. Musically and sexuality wise.
Can someone post what she exactly said about the 11 songs and the cover?
11 songs was in relation to a question asked abt the 7-8 finished songs.
She just said they have ideas as to what the album will look like visually.
I'll post exact answers in a bit.
