yep, and that's what makes it worse for Janet. She's never sold anything outside of NA. As I said, Madonna's biggest flops have outsold and outcharted Janet's best, and more so on an international scale.

sometimes I think madonna's floppage in the 90s is exaggerated tho. In the 90s she had Blonde Ambition Tour, Vogue, Immaculate Collection (30m), This Used to Be My Playground (nobody remembers this song but it still went #1), Take a Bow (her longest running #1), Something to Remember (which ironically nobody remembers but it still sold 10m), and Evita. You could even argue that the Sex book despite being critically panned was a commercial success.
