And you don't have to like my words. But the facts however, are still facts whether you like it or not. The facts are also: Usher's "Climax" was #1 for 10 weeks on R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay in 2012, and Justin Timberlake has never went #1 on R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay in his career.
Usher also has sold more, had a bigger peak, and could arguably be compared with impact in comparison to R.Kelly.

R Kelly and Mary J Blige are much more suited for this title.
I agree with all your points about Justin/Usher. The former is first and foremost a pop star. However, I think the exact same thing applies to Mariah Carey. She currently makes R&B music and always has had an R&B flare, but she is still widely known as a Pop singer/superstar.

Sales arent that important. The GP gave those honorific nicknames to R.Kelly, Mary J. Blige and Bey, not to Usher or Mariah. And there is a good reason to why.
I agree Usher is the King of R&B & no at Mariah she's pop.
Mariah's career in R&B has more of a legacy than her Pop career though.

Some of these comments are killing my soul a little because I stan for JT and Usher. Calling JT the macklemore of R&B..goodness I feel like crying. At least JT makes better music than Mack, but Usher will always have better songs than him.
