I actually like the fact that Kelly doesn't fall prey to the typical pop star trappings. There are plenty of other ladies one could follow if that is important. Kelly plays the game by her own rules, and that's much more interesting to follow that someone who does evrything they possibly can to remain famous and relevant.
I'm glad she's recording new songs. Remember when she said she doesn't like to sing Dark Side because she's too happy? She wouldn't even be able to promote the 2011 songs now.
A producer with many placements in songwriting is working with the team at RCA and looking for songs for Kelly Clarkson.
Songs should be positive, concept-driven top 40 smashes with big melodies and more soulful songs in the vein of Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.
