Anne Frank is more of a symbol of the struggle of a whole ethnic group than a person famous by its own merits. Not that she would've been famous had history been different but I don't think she is famous for reasons other than historical circumstances.
That's different in every generation and demographic all over the world, there is no way in telling this.
I for instance see no Asian women in your list while they may very well be more famous than any of the people you mentioned just not in the Western countries.
Chairman Mao is in the list now I see...
There should probably be more Asians though. Siddharta Gautama aka Buddha comes to mind (obviously), also General Sun Tsu, Confucius, Ghenghis Khan (especially Ghenghis Khan), and my fave Hammurabi should have a place on that list if anyone knew who he was. Such a significant person in history, first recorded and uniformly enforced code of law, father of modern legislation.

Surely by your logic this applies to everyone else. That's like saying if Adolf Hitler was never born or he was never appointed leader of the Nazis he wouldn't be famous
This list is so anglo-centric Remember that a few hundred years ago the world was NOT dominated by English cultures. France, and before that Spain, owned the world. And you can't forget Asian cultures as well.

and how many more French, Spanish and Asian peoples could you name as more famous?

It'snot tbh there is like one person from each country/continent you mentioned in the list and they are the most "famous" ones

No one used Anne Frank until after she was already dead and someone stumbled across her journal. Her journal writing wasn't even very good. It was just the circumstances they were written under that made them significant. However, she was a very brave girl and is worthy of her legacy.

Yeah but she's famous, or well known, today
Lots of people's status is increased after death, you can use modern day examples of this too ala Heath Ledger, Paul Walker etc.
Another one of your messy "all time" lists. Why do you have to quantify things like that?
It's hard to know who Shakespeare is, but not to know who Da Vinci is at the same time.
Or to know of Hitler, but not of Caesar. Sorry, but the whole list is
Things like these should be done in Tiers, not in Lists.
