And the lack of logic/consistency this season...
- If the next Supreme is supposed to be in such perfect health (to the point that Cordelia GREW NEW EYES... and developed flawless skin), why wasn't she able to conceive earlier in the season?
- If all those dozens and dozens of girls are witches, that implies there have always been way more witches than just the ones in the house. But you're telling me that out of the 5 living there, they just happened to have the next Supreme? Like if Misty had been the next Supreme, they may have never known... if she hadn't come to them herself
And I will never get over the injustice they did Evan Peters this season. What a terrible and utterly POINTLESS character. The love triangle was not even remotely compelling, he had terrible material to work with, and his character inexplicably disappeared for episodes at a time.
Also there were never really any consequences to, well, anything. The Christian neighbor plot did nothing besides show Nan being tough. Spalding's doll thing, while creepy, ultimately did nothing. Kyle's character served no purpose. Everyone murdered each other at least once with no retribution (besides poor Myrtle). The list goes on...
|
They never explained it but I deduced that Cordelia couldn't conceive a baby with her sworn enemy, a witch hunter.
The girls that were in competition to be the supreme were the only Salem descendants left. Only a Salem descendant can be the supreme.

these shortcomings aren't anything new with AHS. there's never been a perfectly executed season, writing wise. you have to go into the show knowing that it's going to be messy with plotholes.

They tried too hard with Cordelia suddenly rising up and becoming the Supreme, though. Like, I saw it coming, but the execution was awful, corny and stupid.

Why are you all using spoiler tags?
Trying to cover up the embarrassing details of this uneventful finale?

Ryan Murphy said it's going to be darker like Asylum and it'll be a time piece, again like Asylum. I don't have a source since I'm on my phone but it's true.

This is true. The only redeeming thing of the last two episodes was, as much as I love Madison, Misty beating ASS.

Madison's death was the worst one yet, though. Like, I knew it was coming, but I was expecting her to be stabbed to death by Myrtle for not reviving Zoe or something. She can flip a bus, set curtains on fire and make Kyle strangle Zoe, but she can't get Kyle off of her?
And then Cordelia suddenly wakes up and has eyes? That was literally the dumbest part of the whole season.
I am furious.

I have also noticed this:
- In BOTH Asylum & Coven Evan Peter's character had romance with two women at the same time (also sexual).
- In the final episode of Asylum, Lana Winters was doing an interview about her life and legacy; the same way she was did in Coven about the legacy of the witches coven.
- In Murder House Tate cried over Violet's dead body, the same way he did in Coven.

 at the sassy attitude. Relax.
And I said that's just how I personally viewed her death. Like Chris said, if she can flip a bus then she could have easily gotten Kyle off of her. But okay.

Yeah. He said in the year 1950.
I'm guess it's aliens, which seems kind of stupid. And since Jessica is apparently trying a German accent, I'm assuming it has to do with the real-life controversy/rumors about German scientists linked to aliens & alien communication back in the 1950s. I can't remember the specific incident, but try Googling it.
Then again, this is American Horror Story, not Germanic Horror Story.

The only excuse for that ending is that they want to do a second volume for Coven.

I mean, they went from having 1/2 powers throughout the whole season then just showing up in the last episode teleporting and mind controlling and ****

|
nn yes, and the explanation was just "well in times of danger you gain new powers" like THAT WASN'T A GOOD EXPLANATION! Zoe went from having a totally useless devil ***** to suddenly being almost as powerful as the Supreme?

Never to this extent. I have never been distracted by the plot holes and inconsistency until this season. Suspension of disbelief was NAWT at play this season.

Sorry. I didn't mean to come off that bitchy.
I'm just upset by this. It was my favorite season, regardless of the filler, until this episode.
