#1's for a decade straight. Mariah's was even bigger, her albums also were top-sellers and usually every single era her FIRST 2 singles went #1, and not just the Lead Single.
Rihanna is giving me her 1997-1999 teas right before she fell. First 2 singles smashed, then the era fell completely.
Mariah even worked with Whitney on a song in 1998, yet it flopped horribly and peaked #15 and was the worst charting single in her career at the time. Rihanna worked with Shakira, yet she still bombed.
It's showing her ass doesn't have enough power to yield her own hit. She needs to build off hype every era, with 1-2 singles then fade.
Now all she has to do now is pull a Mariah -- release a crap Lead Single, have it flop, try to discount it to death, and have her album bomb.
