Blue Jasmine - $33,201,545
...
The French Lieutenant's Woman - $80,766,900
Sophie's Choice - $79,686,300
Silkwood - $89,327,800
Out of Africa - $196,745,700
Postcards From The Edge - $77,127,200
Death Becomes Her - $117,549,200
The River Wild - $93,520,700
The Bridges of Madison County - $137,279,000
And Blue Jasmine is supposed to be her triumph. I was kind and didn't post her other leading roles cuz...

You do know there's a huge difference between the audiences back then and now right? I mean, people would flock for stuff like Kramer & Kramer and nowadays it's all about the summer season.
But there's no doubt Meryl's a big star than Cate(even if in most of these movies she's sharing the bill with huge stars too

). Not to mention the later just spent the last 6 years doing theater. She chooses her projects on the strenght of quality and director, not on box office potential.
