Yeah, but the big difference is they're actually musical legends and have done other things during their career that gained them respect and admiration and solidified their status in musical history. Beyoncé hasn't.

Facebook is dying though, didn't you see the recent news? Beyoncé's career will be following suit in the next few years. Plus, P!nk has far more followers on Twitter (the more relevant social media site), but you can stick to the excuse that Bey hardly uses it.

why would Whitney stans go on about how many Grammys she's won when she's only won like 5? And Bey won't be seen as a vocal legend like Whit just like Whit won't be seen as a performance legend like Bey ok?
lol

Not you backpedaling and using "she is a ledendTdary vocalisT,"
when you were just implying vocals alone aren't a big enough contribution to a record to discredit Beyonce
Voiding your entire argument to defend your own fave
Messy

Umm, no, I was saying that Beyoncé's mediocre vocals weren't a big enough contribution. Whitney's legendary vocals are. She wasn't called "The Voice" or one of the best singers of all time for nothing. Added to that Whitney has sold many more records and is nowhere near as try-hard as Bey.

So it's okay if you don't write you own songs as long as you do other things to prove yourself as an artist?
Well Beyonce doesn't write all of her own songs and she has time and time again proved herself to be one of the most definitive pop stars of her generation, and she has received praise from legendary artists like Michael Jackson who also didn't write all of his songs but did other things to gain respect and admiration to solidify his status.
So, what's your argument, sis?

So: Beyoncé. Once and forever, Beyoncé. Let's raise a gold sippy cup to the queen of this and every night, Beyoncé. She owned the Grammys from the opening seconds of "Drunk in Love." Everybody knew her big number was going to slay, and we were all correct, as she rode her surfboard with nothing but her voice and a chair and her wet hair and the most emotionally omnivorous will-to-awesome in the music game. When Jay Z finally showed up, it looked as if all he could do was marvel at Bey's "nice planet, I'll take it" soul power. Like the rest of us.
But let's face it — by that time, most of us were already busy re-watching Beyoncé's "Drunk in Love" for the umpteenth time. It's hard to believe this performance didn't exist 24 hours ago — it's already hard to imagine the world without it. Guess the universe conspired to bring us Bey and Jay. Thanks, universe!
