The good thing about DWUW is that she established a positive relationship with Christina and cut off the rumors that all teams and Perez were spreading. An olive branch that brought fans of Christina and Gaga together that I think will last for quite awhile.

I think at the end of the day, DWUW was probably beneficial. People liked the song, it made them think about Gaga and her music in a different way and yes, it drew a line under the Christina stuff.
It's a shame it didn't fulfil it's potential, but people don't know or care about sales or chart positions. All they'll know is that they liked that song, and if they liked Applause too...they might buy a tour ticket, or at the very least give her a chance again.
She needs to stop doing it because it ain't working anymore (Judas, Applause)
