That kind of person will fight. She just needs to get her act together and accept that she has to compromise to achieve it all. I think she's finding it hard to give up the relative freedom she's gotten used to having. She got away with a lot before because novelty excused it, but that's worn off and now she has to play the game like everyone else.

I'm usually not a fan of speculating from behind the computer screen, but this actually makes sense. It's worth mentioning that ARTPOP opened with numbers that were completely on pair with Perry and Cyrus and could've had the same success as both of their albums if not bigger with the right promotion, but it seemed like, she wasn't as enthusiastic or interested after she sold 258k first week in the US and 550k WW. As proof we can take iTunes Festival and artRave perfromance - both great and both BEFORE the numbers were announced.
I think she expected more and wasn't aware that BTW really damaged her image. I'm sure there were some talks that she should make an album full of upbeat dance tracks like ARTPOP, to make it look like she's here to regain her GP kingdom after alienating BTW era, but I'm sure she wasn't aware that it has gone so far that she would have to acutally go out and promote the hell of ARTPOP to make it sell better. Instead, she seems like she's offended, not disappointed, offended.
She's obviously not over ARTPOP. Just today (my time zone LOL) she posted selfies and tagged them #ARTPOP and it's truly the only thing that keeps me believing that there is something around the corner. And I truly hope so, beacuse this album is, FOR ME, by far the best album she ever recorded.
Sorry for the rant.
