Yes, what happens in America sucks and is racist. But trying to boil it down to a little buzzword of "cultural appropriation" misses the point and oversimplifies a very complex issue, and demands a racial analysis of people and individual actions that can be problematic, rather than encouraging a more open ended view of cultural interaction and what is and is not harmful to appropriate.
