People used Christianity to justify slavery. The idea that you can't criticize something because it's religion is just another one of those weird things that "progressives" have been embracing lately that's actually really conservative and backwards

Just like the idea of "cultural appropriation" occurring anytime two cultures interact. The thought process there is that you an identify a racial identity of a person, then the proper racial identity of an action, and then check the two for racial alignment. That on its own is such an anti-progressive way of thinking about culture, especially in the internet age. People need to get a clue and not just use these buzzwords.
