What makes you think there will be new mega evolutions?
Mega Evolutions are slightly different though.
Mega Evolution is unique to Kalos, so it'd make sense if we got more evolutions with the follow up game(s). I think we received the Mega Evolutions we did b/c they were testing the waters to see if players were going to like it or pan it. Since it wasn't panned, they can add more evolutions as an incentive to buy the follow up game(s).

I'm not sure if I want my favourite to get an evolution first then a mega evo or just a mega.
Who knows but we can't say for certain that we will.

I'm still not fond of the concept of Mega Evolutions but I don't see them not going ahead with it and adding more of them in future games. They just seem a waste to me though - especially the fact that they're limited to just being in battle.

I think Mega Evolutions are alright and I also don't see them having them in the future games, so why not milk it now?
If they won't do it next generation, they might as well add a couple more in just for fun.
