Not really no, she transitioned from being an R&B artist to pop-rock and is still successful more than a decade later, quite an achievement.
Her songwriting is far more impressive than Beyoncé, she emotes greater than Beyoncé and despite everyone going on about her acrobatics being "dull", "over-done" etc. it's still a very physically challenging feat, and the fact she can still sing live while doing that when Beyoncé can't even sing live sitting on a chair is quite humorous.
Her celebrity status certainly helped her, she's never out of the media, even when she was having a flop-era, guess she has that going for her at least.
And? The US is Beyoncé's strongest (and basically only) market, of course she's going to excel there. P!nk however has sold more albums on a global scale and that is more important.
Beyoncé isn't charming, she's trashy. No one loves Beyoncé more than Beyoncé and if by charisma you mean lip-syncing will doing a cheap dance routine sure.
