She doesn't, but maybe she felt more secure with a backing track because she'd be moving around in a chair and the beat is pretty minimal. You can't hide those kinds of inflections.

As a bey fan. It was not a bad performance. There isnt much you can do with drunk in love. Is all about she and Jay. I think the she had a problem with the sager rolling, and she lost a bit balance. Yes she might be a bit upset because she is perfection. But it wasnt bad. i watched 5 times now. I actually like it. The only think I think is that she could have toned it down with her wardrobe, but then again it wudnt have been sexual as she meant it to be. PPl will like it and some wouldnt. But I like it. She was nervous, and she sang live bcz she sound very nervous in her vocals, but she was using back track so you hear the track. Then again, who cares, it was sexual and convincing and between Jay and her, and I loved the chemistry.
